Two girls and one of their grandfathers were hurt in an electrical accident in Houston\u2019s Moody Park. One of the girls was left in critical condition after the accident and had to have surgery to remove damaged skin tissue.<\/p>\n
The girls, ages 9 and 6, were in the park and came into contact with an electrical box in the grass next to the dugout. The grandfather grabbed one of the girls and felt electricity running through her, harming the man.<\/p>\n
Visitors to the park have complained about lighting and maintenance issues. An investigation discovered that there have been numerous requests for service at the park over the years, including many for issues with the lights and two for unspecified electrical issues. The Parks and Recreation Department declined to comment about the maintenance requests but did say in a statement that electrical boxes at all parks will be replaced.<\/p>\n
