The FDA has recalled two food products recently. Both products offered to cure erectile dysfunction naturally, and both products were found to contain undeclared male erectile dysfunction drugs.
The first product is called “Miracle Honey”. It was sold it tiny packets by a company called USA LESS. The honey was found to contain sildenafil, which is the active ingredient in Viagra. The honey claimed it could eliminate impotence and infertility, which it claimed was done with herbs found in the rainforest. The second product is called Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee, which was found to be tainted with sildenafil and tadalafil, both of which are found in erectile dysfunction drugs.
The products were found to pose a threat to consumers because the active ingredients in the drugs could interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs. They can also lower blood pressure to dangerous levels, which could be life threatening. Spiking consumer products with undeclared prescription drugs is illegal. The FDA is investigating both companies.
If you have taken a food product or a supplement that was later found to contain prescription drugs, and you were harmed as a result, you should speak with a defective products attorney. You may have the right to sue the company. If you are in Houston, call the Kennedy Law Firm to see how we may be able to help you.
