Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system that negatively impacts the body’s immune system. Symptoms include fever or night sweats, swollen lymph nodes, chest pain, coughing, trouble breathing, unexplained weight loss, and itching. Patients normally have to undergo chemotherapy, radiation, or other treatments.
Roundup, the popular weed killer, has been linked to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Roundup’s key ingredient is glyphosate. Glyphosate has been found to be carcinogenic to humans. Exposure to glyphosate could increase the risk of developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Studies have shown that as a result of the use of glyphosate, Americans are now facing high levels of the chemical in their foods.
Currently, there are thousands of lawsuits against Monsanto, the chemical company that produces Roundup, related to Roundup. Some of those are individual lawsuits and some are class action lawsuits. Thus far, only three lawsuits involving Roundup have gone through trial and received a jury verdict. All three involved plaintiffs who used Roundup for years and developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. All received very large awards.
If you have been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using Roundup, you should speak with an attorney. You may be entitled to compensation for your damages. Our legal team can help. Call today to learn more or to schedule a free consultation.
