Two Million Frozen Food Products Recalled Due To Potential Contamination With Allergens

Over two million pounds of P.F. Chang’s frozen entrees have been recalled because they were misbranded and contained an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The recalled entrees include P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Chicken Pad Thai and P.F. Chang’s Chicken Fried Rice.

According to the USDA, both frozen dinners contain milk as an ingredient. The oversight was noticed during a routine label check. Both products had milk left off the label as an ingredient. The meals were produced between October of last year and April of this year and have “best-by” dates of September of this year through April 2020. The recall does not involve any food sold at P.F. Chang’s restaurants.

Thus far, there have been no confirmed reports of any adverse reactions due to the consumption of the products. Companies that manufacture food products that are for consumption by the general public must be very careful with those products.
